Day 1 Arrive Beijing, meet and transfer to Hotel

Day 2 Beijing/ Hohhot
Full day tour of Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City and Summer Palace
Late afernoon flight to Hohhot

Day 3 Hohhot/ Gegentala Grassland
Drive to Wuchuan town (3 hours' drive)
Walk from Wuchuan to Sizhiwangqi town (10 km)
Walking across farms, villages, dried rivers with lunch boxes and water
Pick up from Sizhiwangqi and drive to Gegentala (0.5 hour)
Met and welcome by local people on horse back with singing and rice wine
Check in Mongolian Yurt (twin-share, private bathroom)
Watch and participate in horse racing, wrestling before dinner
Mongolian Cultural Show in the evening

Day 4 Gegentala/ Baiyinhushao-a deserted communs
Horse riding to Baiyinhushao (40 km) with lunch box
Stay overnight in deserted houses (own sleeping bags needed)
A bonfire and cold water shower in the open air available

Day 5 Baiyinhushao/Gegentala
Horse riding to Baiyinhushao (50 km-different route) with lunch box
Check in Mongolian Yurt (twin share, private bathroom)

Day 6 Gegentala/ Xianshawan Desert
Bus ride across Daqing Mountain (380 km)
Lunch at local restaurant in Hohhot on the way
Check in Mongolian Yurt (six share one yurt, no private toilet)

Day 7 Xiangshawan Desert
Camel riding into Xianshawan Desert-30 km from start is a basis where it is possible to camp overnight/own sleeping bags needed
Canned food for lunch and dinner
A bonfire, sponge bath in the open air is available

Day 8 Xiangshanwan Desert
Camel riding back to where started
Canned food for breakfast and lunch
Bus ride to Baotou (60 km)

Day 9 Baotou/Beijing
Full day tour Wudangzhao Lamasery and Zhaojun Tomb with lunch
Overnight train to Beijing 19:29/10:20 +1 day

Day 10 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing and transfer to Huadu Hotel
Hutong Tour on a rickshaw
Peking Acrobatics show in the evening

Day 11 Beijing
Full day hike from Simatai to Jinshanling along the Great Wall
Peking Duck Dinner

Day 12 Depart Beijing
